New car registrations rolling

The UK’s new car market grew by 5.3% in March, making it the biggest ever month since the bi-annual plate change began in 1999, according to figures published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

518,707 new cars were registered in March, only the third time the market has surpassed half a million units in a single month. The month rounded off a record quarter, in which more than 770,000 new cars were registered – a 5.1% increase over the first quarter in 2015.

TrackBack’s clients, who represent almost 20% of all UK registrations, experienced even greater success with growth in registrations of 10.3% in March – nearly double the rate of growth experienced by the market as a whole.

Gareth Thomas, Managing Director of TrackBack, says: “Our experience with leading brands in the UK, Europe, and Asia is that TrackBack will deliver rapid improvements in the speed and quality of lead follow-up by dealers. This leads to a better all-round customer experience and increased sales opportunities for the dealer.”

TrackBack believes that every customer enquiry deserves a fast and high-quality dealer response, and provides a simple and innovative way to measure this increasingly important part of the retail sales process. As more and more customer enquiries are submitted online, TrackBack integrates with existing lead management systems to detect if, how quickly, and how well dealers contact these customers, and whether these leads result in appointments.

A focus on lead-tracking resulted in three TrackBack clients, Vauxhall, Alfa Romeo and Fiat, filling the top three places in the recent Sophus3 awards for test drive response. Vauxhall, who have worked with TrackBack since 2011, achieved an average response time of only 10 minutes to online requests for a test drive.

This provides further evidence of how TrackBack is helping automotive brands improve their response to customer enquiries, and generate additional sales opportunities for dealers. For further information, contact TrackBack on 0203 484 2222 or email enquiries@trackback.net.
